National Organization for Health Care Services Provision of Greece participate as a Leader (Lead Beneficiary) in European project Health -Info (Unified information system for exchanging Information between primary health units in the cross-border area for emergency health cases). The project is being implemented under the Cross-Border Cooperation Program IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme “Greece-the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia 2014-2020” is co-funded by the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) resources.
The aim of the project is to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the health sector and to improve the existing. The growth of new tools and innovative methods of using technology to support health units and improve preventive health care, social services for children and the elderly in the inaccessible areas of the cross-border area.
The main objective of the program is the exchange of human resources and information in a unified health system.
The results of the program are expected to be beneficial in improving the health services provided in the cross-border area. It is well known that cross-border areas face inherent problems with the involvement of residents in screening programs and health prevention programs including the inclusion of vulnerable groups (elderly and children) that are particularly difficult to achieve due to factors such as age, geography, ethnicity, culture, language, education, education and / or access to primary care .
